Internal tools

Build the small software your team needs — and own it. Most teams pay a monthly fee for tools that are actually simple: a tracker, an approval list, a few exports. With Altoquant, an AI agent builds that tool for you in a normal conversation — and then keeps it running on a schedule.

You say — once
~/work "build us a purchase-order tracker: approvals, exports, a small dashboard"
01 · Describe the tool

You open a session and describe what you need in plain words. For example: a list of purchase orders, who approved each one, and a weekly Excel export. The agent (Claude Code, Codex — your choice) writes the code in a folder on your machine and shows you the result.

02 · Put the routine parts on a schedule

The parts that must happen regularly — importing new orders every hour, building the weekly export — are saved as jobs. A job is a saved command with a schedule and a check that the output is correct. Altoquant runs your jobs automatically from then on.

03 · Change it whenever you want

When you need a new field or a new report, you open a session in the same folder and ask for it. The full output of every past run is kept, so you can always see what the tool did, and when.
