Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Altoquant ("the Software") — the desktop application, command-line tools and daemon distributed from altoquant.com — is operated by Bitprods SRL BV, company number BE0633.830.464, Belgium ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing or using the Software, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. What the Software is

Altoquant is a local-first terminal application: it runs and schedules work on your own machines, through third-party agent command-line tools (such as Claude Code, Codex or Gemini) that you install and license separately. Sessions, jobs, their output and history are stored on your machines.

3. Early access

The Software is currently in private early access. It is provided as is and as available: features may change or be removed, releases may contain defects, and we make no commitment to availability, support or continued development during this phase.

4. Your responsibilities

The Software executes real commands on your machines with your user privileges, including commands proposed by AI agents at your instruction. You are responsible for:

• what you ask agents to do, and for reviewing the effects of that work on your systems and data;
• the credentials and secrets you provide to sessions and jobs;
• complying with the terms of the websites and services your sessions and jobs access, and with the terms of your agent-CLI subscriptions (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google);
• maintaining backups of data you care about.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Software for unlawful purposes, and not to use it to circumvent authentication, paywalls, CAPTCHAs or other access controls of third-party services. The Software is designed to use your own authenticated access to the services you already have the right to use.

6. Intellectual property

The Software, this website, the Altoquant name and the Altoquant marks are the property of Bitprods SRL BV. Everything the Software produces on your machines — session output, job results, collected files — is yours.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software and the website are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of agent output, and non-infringement. AI agents make mistakes; verify work that matters.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bitprods SRL BV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Software or the website — including actions taken by AI agents at your instruction.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this website; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
