Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bitprods SRL BV, company number BE0633.830.464, Belgium, is the controller for any personal data described here. Contact: contact@altoquant.com.

2. This website

• No cookies and no third-party analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.
• First-party measurement: we measure page visits and product-funnel events using our own endpoint on altoquant.com. Analytics events store page paths, referrer host, country, device class, browser/OS family, short-lived presence pings for live visitor counts, and anonymous daily/session hashes. We do not store raw IP addresses in analytics events.
• Local notice storage: the site follows your system's dark/light preference and stores a single flag in your browser's localStorage when you dismiss the notice bar. It never leaves your browser and identifies nothing.
• Hosting logs: the site is served from Amazon Web Services (CloudFront/S3), which produces standard, short-lived access logs (IP address, requested page, time) for operating and securing the service.

3. When you email us

If you write to contact@altoquant.com (for example to get a download link), we process your email address and the content of your message to respond — on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep the correspondence as long as the conversation is live, and delete it on request.

4. The Software

• Local-first: sessions, recurring runs, run history, and produced files are stored on your machines. We have no access to them.
• Minimal app telemetry: the Software may check altoquant.com for updates. We count those update checks by day, country, and app version so Studio can show active-version adoption. Signed-in team devices also send narrow heartbeat status so team owners can see whether a linked app is open and available to run work. We do not receive your sessions, recurring runs, prompts, files, or crash reports.
• Agent CLIs: the agent command-line tools you connect communicate with their own providers under their own privacy policies and your own subscriptions. Altoquant adds no data of its own to that traffic.
• Future team features (managed Altoquant Cloud, planned v4) will be opt-in; users will not be asked to bring their own storage for the core sync path, and this policy will be updated before any such feature processes your data.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. The only processor involved is Amazon Web Services (website hosting and first-party analytics infrastructure).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to contact@altoquant.com to exercise any of these. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves (in particular when team features arrive). Material changes will be announced on this website.
